According to Yang Changsheng, project leader of the Southwest Big Data Innovation Application Center of China Construction Eighth Bureau, the Southwest Big Data Innovation Application Center project is located at the intersection of Luogu Avenue and Tongtao North Road, Jiulongpo District, covering an area of about 146 acres and a building area of 132,500 square meters square meters. The entire project includes core functional areas such as the supercomputing exhibition area, digital economy incubation area, and production center, and will gradually create a characteristic industrial system centered on big data.
During the resumption of work and production during the Spring Festival in 2023, the project department organized labor and resources in advance, implemented on-site construction equipment, and guaranteed various conditions for resumption of work and production of the project. It became the first resumption of work and production in the Taojia and Xipeng areas. At present, there are more than 450 operators and 20 construction machines on the project site. The main structure will be fully capped by the end of June this year, and it is expected to be completed in November 2024.
After the Southwest Big Data Innovation and Application Center is put into operation, it will greatly promote the development of the digital economy in Chongqing and the Western (Chongqing) Science City, and help the construction of the big data industry in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.
